I started blogging 5 years ago, today,  December 1, 2007.  Blogging has been an amazing journey for me.

I got the "bug" when Carrie, moved to the other side of the country.  She traded the Left Coast for the Right Coast; she started blogging, and I followed suit.  It's a good way to keep in touch.

When I joined the meme Fun Monday the following January, my blogging world exploded.  This is the photo I posted my first Fun Monday.  The assignment was to show the view out your front door.

This is the same view, now:

Not much difference!

I've decided not to bore you by recounting what's happened blog-wise, in the past five years.  I'm afraid you'd fall asleep, and I don't want that.  What I want to do is give  a box of Sees Candy to two different followers.  It'll be a half pound box of assorted chocolates like this:

Assorted Chocolates Silver Box

Here are the rules to win one of the boxes of candy.
  • Be a follower of this blog.
  • Be a blogger with an active blog.
  • Leave one comment telling me anything; maybe what your vacation plans are next year or if you have any special Christmas plans.  Be honest, if you're not a follower, or not a blogger, please don't leave a comment.
That's it, be a follower, be a blogger, leave a comment.  I'll draw the winner on 1/8.

.

I love these Christmas dogs.

P.S.  I'm discontinuing the meme First of the Month.
Thanks for stopping by and sharing my life with me,

  1. Congratulations on your 5th year's anniversary of blogging Jan. That is quite an accomplishment. I liked your photos and the cute Christmas dogs. I would have loved to be there while they were taking that photo. We are going to have a quiet Christmas this year, with just Gregg's Dad and his wife. They will be staying for a few days. My son and daughter-in-law will be joining us on Christmas Day. They live about 45 minutes away. Next year we're hoping to visit my niece and brother-in-law in Germany. It's been a while since we saw them and I am excited at the thought of seeing them. Lovely giveaway and whoever gets that box of chocolates I know they will enjoy them. This turned out to be an epistle so I'll finish up and wish you a great weekend!

  2. I'm glad to get to "meet" you through blogging. I've said before, I like visiting with someone under the same semi-local skies, lol. I crave See's chocolates, but for that reason, I pass on the giveaway, to let someone who has never experienced the goodness of their chocolate to to get to do so. Thank you Jan for your friendship ~
