Fun Monday

I bet when you saw the topic, for this week, you thought my laundry room would look like one of these:

Well, you'd be wrong. Sorry.
This is my laundry room, my garage.

When both cars are in residence, it's a tight squeeze to load and unload the clothes!

We usually back at least one car out to do laundry, if it's raining, so much the better. The car gets washed, too.

I really love this front- loading set. After about 9 years my old washer was going wonky, and I said, "heck, let's just get new ones". I'd been having front-load envy, and that's not a good thing.

If you've posted for Fun Monday, please use Mr. Linky, so we can all visit. If you want to host next week, let me know in your comments.

  1. Some day... We don't use our garage as a garage so eventually it will be semi-finished and be a laundry/exercise room. I am pea green over your machines. Mine have been with me for quite a while and I bought the dryer from my boss. But I can't justify replacing them as they work just fine!

  4. I also had my washer n dryer in the garage when I lived in Florida. Now its in my basement. I am still on the fence about the front end loaders...I know they do a good job but its the bending over that I think about. Both of my daughters have them and love them. Thanks for hosting this week Jan

  5. ha ha... you could have written my post this week!!!

I love my front loaders -- except for the problem I had with a bad odor. I told the secret on my post how to control that!

  6. Boy you have some heavy duty machines there. Front loaders, top loaders, side loaders, bottom loaders, it's all the same to me...manual labor and more work. LOL I enjoyed this. :) Have a great week ahead :)

  7. I was so surprised to see front loading machines in an American household ! So far I have always seen the loading on the top of the machine and found it so practical. But in Belgium they just started to come out a few years ago, all people I know uhave the front loading system.
I use the kitchen as washing room, lol !

  8. Our laundry is in the basement. We have had flooding here so for the last few weeks I have had to put on waders just to do the laundry. If you drop a sock you have to start from scratch...not fun.

  9. Jan thanks for hosting this Fun Monday. Our laundry is in the garage too. I am thankful that we do not have to back out the cars to do the laundry, Bbt I guess that the space is a little tight.

  11. Just think of it as parking your cars in the laundry room, LOL! Those machines sure do look pretty!

  12. I oughtn't to have been surprised by comments about front-loaders, but I was...
In the UK you'd find it a tough ask to get any type but front-loaders.
I've seen top-loaders when staying with friends in Holland, but not over here.
Guessing also we have things smaller over here...as my washer only takes an 8kg load.
Thank you for hosting Fun Monday!

  13. I have a washing machine but I seldom use it because I prefer to handwash my laundry. I'm a dinosaur. :P
