Shoot me 19 of 52

Shoot Me! is hosted by Carin, of Forever in Blue Jeans. Thank you Carin for hosting.

I took this week off work, I wanted to do a couple of extra things, and I wanted to sew.  Sewing is what I've been doing in my spare time.  On Friday, I going to go the the San Diego Quilt Show, Bob has declined the pleasure!

Here's the New Wave Quilt, that I just finished, I used 13 fat-quarters from the Timber line of fabric.  This pattern is by Elizabeth Hartman of ohfransson.com.  It's an easy pattern and I think the result is great, if I do say so myself.  The only thing I would do different, next time, is not make a template.  After I used the template a bit, I gave up and just used my cutting mat and a straight-edge.  Much easier, for me.

I used the left over bits from the fat-quarters to piece the back.  What do you think?

  5. Your quilt turned out great! It is very different from the traditional quilt. I love that it has a modern look to it and the colors are bright and cheery. I have always wanted to learn how to quilt. Nice photo of you too!
