Misc.

This has been a good week, and it's only 3 days old. I managed to unpack our books from the BEA. I didn't count them, this year; I just started sorting them, putting them away and giving them away. About 25 have already gone to other booksellers, and some have made it to the post office. We now have a fresh supply of book-bags, I'm excited about the yarn, and there's a couple of squirt guns in the mix, too.

Yesterday, I drove to San Diego, to get a couple of things accomplished. On the drive, right under my favorite bridge, I saw this work truck. The stuffed monkey, hanging on for dear life it seems, caused me to laugh out loud. Ya know, some times it's just the little things that bring joy.

I know LA and Orange Counties like the back of my hand, from growing up in Long Beach. San Diego is still a challenge. I'm fine, going to one point, then returning; but going to A, B, C then D before heading home, usually involves a lot of head scratching and U-turns. The jaunt yesterday, went pretty smoothly! Yeah!

After my errands, I went to Cozy Quilt for their once a month Strip Club. I may be addicted. I really love this months' free pattern, Spangled. July's pattern promises to feature Black and White prints, I can see Spangled in Black and White, too.

It was a perfect day, weather-wise. In Murrieta, it was 90°, in San Diego it was about 15°'s cooler, and they were complaining about the heat

  2. Hey, we are wimps in San Diego. Too spoiled with the ocean breeze, so when it does get hot we "complain".

Beautiful quilt pattern from Cozy Quilts. I wasn't able to make it to strip club this month, so happy to see that you did. Perfect quilt for red/white/blue but I agree with you on the black/white prints.

I can understand the books & book bags from BEA, but really wonder what the story is behind the squirt gun (and yarn?).

  5. Aren't quilt strip clubs fun? I joined in a couple of projects, and always have a great time.
My niece lives in Murrieta! She is getting married in September and we are having a shower for her Saturday.
